Susan Knoppow

Wow’s Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder Susan Knoppow can captivate a classroom.

A dynamic teacher, Susan has 20 years experience working with students of all ages. She has taught college- and high school-level creative writing and composition and has created courses on a myriad of subjects for corporate clients nationwide.

Before co-founding Wow Writing Workshop with Kim Lifton, Susan spent many years as a speechwriter for senior executives at General Motors. Her corporate and non-profit clients include a range of manufacturers, health care organizations and small businesses.

A published poet and essayist, Susan holds a BA in psychology from the University of Michigan and an MFA in writing from Vermont College.

Susan and Kim have worked as writing partners for many years. Together, they co-wrote an award-winning PBS documentary, “No Ordinary Joe: Erasing the Stigma of Mental Illness,” which aired nationally.
